About 928 Construction

Hi, my name is Adam Cook, and my specialty is building custom homes. I discovered my passion at a very young age, following in my father’s footsteps and learning the craft as an apprentice for his construction company in Indiana.

In 1999, after graduating from high school, I moved to Phoenix to launch my career in the building industry. I began as a skilled laborer and worked my way up to project management. 

By 2000, I co-managed a custom home-building business in Phoenix. During this time, I supervised the construction of multi-million-dollar homes and led teams of subcontractors and suppliers to deliver exceptional results to our customers.

A second interest started pulling at my heart in 2007.  I set aside my career in construction  and went back to school to study filmmaking. After graduating from the Sedona Film School in 2010, I spent the next ten years working in the film industry as a cinematographer and producer while simultaneously remodeling my properties as a hobby.

After my first child was born, I recognized that the filmmaking lifestyle was no longer suited to my family and me. My wife noticed that when I returned home from work at the end of the day, instead of watching movies or television programs, I was studying building science. 

This discovery rekindled my interest in construction and the science behind what makes a thoughtfully-built house work so well. My approach to home building emphasizes creating a healthier, more harmonious living environment instead of something limited to aesthetics. 

And with that, I decided to follow my first passion. I am a licensed general contractor and the owner of 928 Construction, LLC, which specializes in new, high-performance residential and small commercial construction throughout Central and Northern Arizona.
